  1. SERVER CONFIGURATION

Module Summary

Key Points

  • The ePO server can be fine-tuned to the needs of an organization through entries available in the Server Settings.

  • Agent Handlers distribute network traffic via agent-to-server communication interval (ASCI).

  • The System Tree contains all the systems managed by ePO.

  • You can group systems based on machine-type, geography, political boundaries, or any other logical criteria that supports your needs.

  • ePO offers two System Tree synchronization features: NT Domain Integration, and Active Directory Synchronization.

  • Tags can be used to identify and sort systems, simplify the creation of tasks and queries, and tailor reports to be more meaningful.

  • Use the Tag Catalog page to view summary information for any tag, begin creating or editing tags, and run sorting criteria.

  • You organize tags within the Tag Group Tree in a hierarchical structure, similar to ePO System Tree structure.

In the next lesson, you will learn how to deploy software manually and automatically in ePO.
